The Good: An overall great ale (surprisingly good in fact).
The Bad: nothing
Appearance: Copper, with a light head.
Smell: Slight floral scents, corn, honey, and citrus hops.
Taste: Mmmm, A really tasty ale. Its just right in strength and depth, hops come out strong and grassy. Slight tastes of grapefruit, honey, caramel and grass. If you are familiar with pale ales you will not be disappointed, it's surprisingly good. The aftertaste will hang in your mouth for a while. It is a bit bitter at 70 IBUs.
Drinkability: Pleasure to drink, I cant stop sipping the stuff.
Drunkability: Personally I would not drink this to get buzzed, but if you are going to do it then 2-3 large bottles would do the trick.
Overall Rating: 9 out of 10
Closing: It is a really good tasting pale ale. Frankly I am a bit surprised that I have not tried it sooner, you might be able to get this at your local market but you would surely be able to find it in a good liquor store (at least in California). Do yourself a favor and try it.
Ranger India Pale Ale - Back of bottle: “Are you a hopinista? Thank our Beer Rangers for inspiring (and begging for) this well-balanced Simcoe, Cascade and Chinook hopped IPA, 70 IBUs.”
